Neither Wendy Richard nor Jade Goody is having the happiest of times at the mo.

But we hope they may be smiling a little more following recent news.

What's been happening with the two ladies?

First up, former 'Enders star Wendy is set to tie the knot with her longterm partner of 13 years, John Burns, today, before she starts chemotherapy.

She brought forward her wedding date after receiving news that her cancer had spread to her bones and right kidney.

It's believed she'll tie the knot at a civil ceremony, and stars such as Barbara Windsor and Dale Winton are thought to be attending.

Meanwhile another report says Wendy and Jade bumped into each other in hospital, where Jade was waiting to start chemotherapy.

A pal told The Sun: "They got on really well and spent hours chatting. They are helping each other as much as they can.

"Jade thought Wendy was lovely - and talking to someone going through the same ordeal seemed to help them."

We hope Wendy has a super day and that the new friendship brings them both some comfort.
