Well, Beyonce and Jay-Z didn't do it with quite the same jaw-dropping factor.

The "it" is getting married, of course.

But they did keep us guessing for, like, one nanosecond.

Now Beyonce's finally come out of that wedding closet by telling Essence magazine all the gory details of her top-secret wedding to Jay-Z, six months after the bloomin' thing happened.

Oh well, better late than never, right?

She said: "What Jay and I have is real.

"It's not about interviews or getting the right photo op. It's real."

Miss B also revealed she didn't want an engagement ring, explaining: "People put too much emphasis on that. It's just material and it's just silly to me."

Instead, she and Jay both have tattoos of Roman numerals on their ring fingers.

How nice.

Bey also spilled on how she knew they'd end up tying the knot, because: "We've been together a long time. We always knew it would happen."

And we're glad it did, Beyonce.
